QuestionI recently purchase a Dynex 55 TVWhen I first turn on the Dynex 55" Tv, I did not choose cable box/satelite connection, I chose just cable. When I watch TV, parts of the picture quality is blurry even though I do use a HDMI cable. I now have a HD-DVR cable box from brighthouse with HDMI cable, do it matters if I selected cable connection instead of satellite/cable box connection? When I click on info, the HDMI says 480p sd, how can i get to 1080p since the tv is originally 1080p?

- Answer I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM I HAD TO ADJUST THE CABLE BOX SETTINGS BUT THE CABLE SERVICE I HAVE ONLY GOES UP TO 1080i WHICH IS BETTER THAN 480i HOPES THIS HELPS YOU

QuestionT.V. Power turns off automaticallyMy 55"s power turns on and off at it's own free will. Sometimes it will turn off automatically and not turn on again at all after that for a given period of time. How do I fix this?

Questionusing my tv as a computer monitor why dont i have sound

- Answer You will want to make sure that you have 2 cables running from your computer to your TV. The VGA (monitor) cable carries the video feed from the the computer to the TV, you will also need a mini headphone jack cable to be able to listen to the the computer sound through your TV speakers. This cable looks like a headphone cable and has two headphone plugs at each end. One end will plug in to your computers headphone jack or sound out jack. If your computer has multiple sound out jacks, I would suggest using a pair of headphones to find which one is outputting sound. You can also check to see if you need to adjust your sound settings on your computer. Finally, you will want to plug in the other end of the sound cable to your TV's sound in jack. You will want to be careful because your TV will more than likely have 2 or more headphone jack ports. Usually the one that you want is near the VGA port. You can check your TV user manual to see which one is the correct sound in port.

QuestionWhy does my new Dynex 55" go from a great picture to green with lines?The picture will be great then change to green wtih lines in it. We turn it off and back on and it is perfect then after a few minutes back to the green/line screen again. Why does it do this?

QuestionXbox 360 controller lagI had a 40 inch 60hz Dynex LCD and had no lag at all. I just bought a 55 inch Dynex 120 hz and have horrible controller lag while playing Call of Duty. I read online about a game mode options for most TV's but this does not have that option. Please Help!

- Answer i'm sorry to say but i bought the same TV, and there is nothing that will help. it is called input lag and even when all the extra stuff is turned off it still occurs. plasma doesn't have as much of a problem with this when compared to the same sized LCD tv. just fyi. if your going to be playing games don't buy a lcd, buy a plasma.

- Answer I haven't tested it on this particular TV, but on other televisions the output levels were constant and did not depend on the TV volume settings. I know for certain that the digital audio out does not vary according to the TV's volume settings.

QuestionThere is a flashing white line that appears at the top of the screen in all channels that are not HD. overscan? how do we fix it?I was told by the cable company that the picture needs to be adjusted in the tv.

- Answer Hi Well if you can, go into the picture menu and adjust the ASPECT Ratio, that is if this Model has that option.

Questionlag time between sound and actionwhile watching tv and movies you will at times see the mouth move before u hear the sound to match movements. also experienced the same thing when playing my WII where i would move the remote and the action was a half a secon behind. is there a way to make this better?

- Answer I looked this up as this lag is more noticable on fast paced video games. here is the deal. It actually has to do with the time it takes the tv to process the video signal. ways to reduce lag are 1) make sure you set both the tv and tv cable box to the proper resolution settings. if your getting the two resolutions correct to be native then the time it takes less time to process therefore less lag. nintendo wii is 480p and can cause issues with lag. I suggest a quick google search on gaming hdtv lag (visual lag NOT internet lag) there are many tips to help sort this. just as an aside. I set mine up after a google search and reading to understand the issue and now my tv is great with no lag.

- Answer You didn't specify what you mean but I'll tell you what I have set up I am using my maybe 3 year old PHILIPS surround sound system and it has an audio input in back(red/white) and from the tv it has an audio output (red/white) connected those and can hear out of the surround or you can probably use the 3.5mm headphone jack on the left side of the tv as well.

QuestionCan I connect this TV directly to an exterior analog TV antennae or do I need a digital converter?I currently have an old external TV antennae mounted on the side of my house. Can I connect it directly to the antennae or do I need a digital converter? In other words, does the TV have its own digital converter built in?

- Answer It's just showing that power is going to the tv. There's nothing wrong with it, other than it is costing you a few cents on your power bill. If it bothers you, unplug the tv.

- Answer Don't panic, you have 30 days to work this out before returning it... I would check the device and cables your are using first only because that is the easiest to change and verify the TV is operating correctly. A battery operated device like an iPod with a headphone jack and a stereo rca jacks to connect to the TV would be best (see pic). This will allow you to verify it's the TV acting weird and not your home electric (no ground), or the cable box or device your are using.

QuestionHDMI ports not workingI have had this TV for almost a year, and it has been great. I have used HDMI port 1 to connect my HD cable box, HDMI port #2 for my PS3, and have not touched ports 3 and 4. I recently got an Apple TV that I tried to hook up to the TV, but when I hook up it to either of the open ports the TV says no signal and I get a blue screen. Currently I have to unplug the PS3 to use the Apple TV. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

- Answer If you haven't already, try connecting a different HDMI device to HDMI3 and 4 to verify if the ports are working. If they are not, try power-cycling your TV by turning it off and unplugging it for an hour, then try connecting the devices again. QuestionDirect TV remote will adjust volume, but not turn TV on and off. 55" modelI've gone through the remotes automatic programming routine. The remote operates the volume controls, but won't turn TV on and off!! (using "off" or "power") "TV input" also operates that particular TV function. Just no on and off......

- Answer For your DirecTV remote, try using codes 10171, 11204, 11326, 11517, 11564, 11641, 11963, 12002. Unfortunately, if you have found a code that controls any of the functions of your TV, there isn't generally another code that will do more. Not every third-party remote is compatible, so you may wish to consider a higher-end universal remote control or contacting DirecTV for additional assistance in programming the remote.

Questionwhy does the stand only fit half way into the bottom of my tv? DX-55L150A11The stand only fits half way into the bottom of the tv. It has six screw holes in the mount, six holes in the back of the tv. but the top two are blocked off by a plate with two tabs inside the mount hole blocking the mount from sliding all the way in why ? DX-55L150A11
