Q: QuestionI am trying to connect my Xbox One X to a 2011 2560x1440 27 inch LED backlit ThunderBolt Display Apple monitor. Will it connect on its own if I get this, also do I need a MacBook for it? Finally will it even work in the first place?

• A:Answer I’m not sure about the newest MacBooks if they have an hdmi port or not. This cord will not work. You need a mini display port to hdmi.

Q: QuestionMy RX 580 which has 1 HDMI and 3 Display Ports. I used two of these on the 2nd and 3rd display ports to connect to my 2 HDMI monitors and it was only able to recognize one of them. It seems that it could only recognize only ONE at the time.

• A:Answer Should still work, possibly at a lower resolution. Might want to consider a port replicator. DELL has one for about $130, HP and others have them at about the same price. This may allow you to work with up to three monitors.

• A:Answer Do you have DisplayPort plug on your laptop? I use this to connect an HDMI monitor to the adapter, and then into the DisplayPort plug on my laptop. If you have an old laptop without an HDMI port, you probably don't have DisplayPort. You may have only VGA out on your laptop.
