- Answer Hi Sam, this is Kelly with Dyson. The noise level of the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool depends on which mode you are using it in. The max sound level, whilst using in focused heater mode is 50 dBa, and the max sound level in focused fan mode is 63 dBa. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionRecommend your best free standing air conditioner no window needed

- Answer Hello Mellen, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson HP01 Pure Hot + Cool, like all of our other fans and purifier units do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionOn my HP01 when I Set the tempature it would stay bright till room temp. would be reached. Now when you set the temp. it's bright the in about 10 seconds it dims, this does it at any temp. even at 98.

QuestionIf I want this as both a cooling option and a white noise option would it suffice? Older models (the circle instead of the oval) seem to be fairly loud in high setting, which I prefer.

- Answer Hi, this is Summer with Dyson. The F code indicates the filter will need to be replaced and reset. The filter will need to be replaced once a year if the machine is ran for 12 hours a day. If you run it for 24 hours a day, it is about every 6 months. There is also an auto mode that you can set it on when you need to and it will be like a stand by mode and clean the air as needed to help the filter life as well.
