QuestionLike the power and battery replacement but not head size. Can you use the v11 torque drive head instead?

- Answer Hello Curt, this is Kelly with Dyson. The smaller Torque Drive head for the V11 would not fit on the V11 Outsize, due to the Outsize featuring a larger head, and having a different size connection. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

- Answer Battery charge should last approx 60 min with a mixture of tile and carpet. The more carpet the less time.

- Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11™ Animal vacuum has an integrated digital motor which spins the brush bar up to 60 times a second. It drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet to remove dirt, and carbon fiber filaments capture fine dust on hard floors. Both machines offer three cleaning modes for a variety of household tasks, so you'll have the right balance of power and run time where you need it. This model also has an LED display and will allow you to switch between your 3 power modes: Eco, Auto and Boost. The V11™ Outsize comes with a full-size cleanerhead and a larger dust bin. Any of the tools or attachments that come with this machine can either be attached right to the end of the wand, or you can remove the wand and attach any of them to the bin to use the vacuum as a hand held. QuestionDoes this new model solve the problem of hair getting tangled or wrapped on the brush-roll? Or does it have self cleaning brush roll to provide zero maintenance?

- Answer I have 2 hairy dogs and a long haired cat and this vac has been heaven for that. The small power head is perfect for doing the couches, chairs and I've even used it on the bulky throw pillows. I've used it for over a week and haven't had hair wind around the roller. There may be one or two long hairs laying on the roller but that's it. All the hair that gets picked up is pushed out of the dirt bin into your garbage. You never have to reach your hand in to pull anything out.

- Answer Hello Horn, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11 Outsize is a larger, and heavier model that our other V11 cord-free machines. The Outsize does feature a full-size bin and larger cleaner head. The weight on that machine is 7.85 pounds, while the weight on the other V11 models is 6.7 pounds. - Answer It seamlessly goes from one type of floor to another if you have it on the "auto" setting. I even vacuumed kitty litter where one part of the head was on carpet and the other on tile and it still picked everything up.

- Answer The Outsize has a larger cleaning head, comes with more attachments plus a second battery and charger. At present the Outsize is $100 off at BB. For $100 more, than the regular V11, the Outsize is a great purchase.

QuestionWhat is the difference (other then the color) between this machine and the “outsize origin” on Dyson’s website?

- Answer The Origin only comes with one battery and one charger. The Outsize (Red) comes with two chargers, two batteries, and a clip that allows you to attach two tools directly to the wand (red stick). I strongly recommend getting the Outsize (Red) for $70 more. The last thing you want when you need to vacuum is a dead battery and the batteries and charger are $149.99 and $29.99 respectively. The wand clip is also $8.99 if you purchase separately. So if you get the Outsize (Red) you get $188.97 worth of accessories for $70.
