QuestionI have both wood & carpeted floors. The wood floors also have area rugs on them. We have 2 kids & 2 dogs so I’m constantly vacuuming. Would the V15 be a good suit or should I look at a different Dyson model? Needs to be cordless is my only request.

- Answer I have a German Shepard and this vacuum does an excellent job. It comes with two different heads- one for carpet and the other for hardwood/tile

- Answer That is very good question and I cannot answer it but I will say this that it's probably because Dyson is from Europe so they have their way of determining what to call the specific head that you read about versus how in America at Best Buy they would Define the Dyson v15 head. I hope this helps but again I did not do the research on it but this makes sense to me

- Answer The filter is washable and easy to take off and clean. There is a message that will tells when it needs cleaning. It takes at least a day to dry but a day without vacuuming is always a good day. I know you can buy a replacement battery. But, I think you may be wondering if you can extend your vacuuming time by using a second battery and I don't know the answer to that

- Answer Yes this works perfectly on all hardwood floors with the hard floor attachment with laser light for viewing dust. No you cannot mop with this as you don’t want to expose it to water.

- Answer Hi William, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V15 Detect does work well on pet hair. If you have multiple pets in the home, or vacuum up longer human hair frequently, we do suggest more regular maintenance on the machine to ensure that the hair doesn't accumulate in the brush bar bristles and get wrapped around the motor which can cause damage. - Answer The last time I looked at Best Buy in the store in Modesto they do carry it that specific device so I would suggest going there to purchase it the only difference between that device and the Dyson v15 regular like the one I have is $200 difference and you get more attachments in an extra battery however I've come to learn that the Dyson v15 is better than the Dyson absolute Plus when it comes to suction power and that's a fact

QuestionI have Ruggables rugs and wood floors. The Ruggables are machine washable pet rugs and it indicated on the packaging to not use a vacuum that has the power brush as it would damage the rugs. Does Dyson have a product that would be easy on these rugs?

- Answer I am more than certain that they have that specific device at Best Buy right now so I would highly suggest you go and purchase it but the Dyson v15 has more suction power however you only get one battery versus the outside which will give you an extra battery and more attachments but the choice is yours
