- Answer You don’t have to set it by routine. You can keep it manually set. You can also change it on your smartphone when away from your house.

- Answer Best buy uses a 3rd party for these installations, ecobee comes with both options, if you have a c wire or need to go through the c wire bypass, it comes with extra wiring for that.

Questionis it correct to assume this would work with an electric heat pump?I know of an instance a t-stat was replaced,during install the board burned out on the furnace They said because the electric was not turned off. do you have to turn off elect to install?

QuestionMy house is a 2100 SF ranch with one zone heating & A/C. I am guessing that the sensors, beyond the one in thermostat, will not do anything for me; am I correct? Thank you. S

- Answer I have a 2300SF ranch with one AC zone. I have set the second sensor in the Master bedroom which is at the opposite side of the house from thermostat. The Master bedroom tended to run about three / four degrees warmer than the rest of the house. With the addition of the sensor, when the sensor recognizes the Master is occupied, the thermostat seems to engage based on the average of the two thermostats. In my situation it appears the sensor did exactly as advertised and the Master is now more comfortable.

QuestionI have a two zone system in my house. Is the installation for two thermostats any more complicated than it is for one? Also, how will the auto feature work if one unit thinks that area needs heat and the other thinks it needs cool?

- Answer The setup walk-through looked pretty easy. I do not have a dual zone but looking through on screen instructions, it was step by step. And their documentation was easy to follow.

- Answer Yes. It comes with the adapter in the box. I didn’t need it. Great thermostat. Besides Alexa and the other fun stuff, very few thermostats allow you to set the temperature swing, control accessories (humidifier, HRV) or set other functions and limits like the Ecobee.
