  • QuestionCan I connect multiple river 2 together to increase the length in time? Also can I connect ALLPOWERS SP037 400W Portable Solar Panel Waterproof IP67 Foldable Solar Panel Kit with 37.5V MC-4 Output Solar Charger to charge this?

    Asked by Hec.

    • Answer Hi Hec, Yes, you can connect 2 of the same units in series at most. Furthermore, please also note: 1. The slave unit must be fully charged before being connected. 2. Must not charge the main unit when the slave is connected. For a better experience and efficiency, it is highly recommended to use EcoFlow solar panels. If you want to choose solar panels from other brands, please make sure: 1. The specification of the solar panel meets the requirement of the device, for example, 8A Max,11-30V 110W for the RIVER 2; 2. The connector of the solar panel is MC4 type (so that it can be connected to the EcoFlow solar charging cable) or XT60 female type (so that it can be connected to the power station's input port directly). If its connector is of another type, you need to purchase an MC4 adapter or an XT60 adapter. 3. No controller comes with the solar panel. There is an MPPT board that controls solar charge inside the power station already. A separate controller would affect the solar charge. Note: EcoFlow does not provide free service for any damage to the product caused by improper operation of the third-party solar panels.

  • QuestionCan it be used as a ups

    Asked by Xxavier.

    • Answer River is an EPS and as a result the transfer time is 30ms. For comparison a UPS typically targets sub 10ms 30ms is a long time and you're likely going to see a small outage. This definitely fine for a laptop with a battery (do you even need a EPS then?) but for a router or mini PC it may cause a reboot. So in other words yes.

  • QuestionDo you need a network provider to use this device. If so what network is compatible?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer River 2 doesn't require a network provider to operate. You do not need any mobile network or SIM card to use it. The River 2 is a portable power station that works entirely on its internal battery and provides power through its AC, USB, and DC ports without needing any network connection. The only time a “network” comes into play is if you want to use the EcoFlow app. The River 2 can connect to the app through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, but this is completely optional. You can use Bluetooth without any internet provider, and the device will still function normally even if you never use the app at all. Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is only needed if you want to monitor or control the unit using the EcoFlow app.
