QuestionHello, I have a Frontier Router hardwired to an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station providing two networks. One for the Frontier and the other for the Apple networks. Will I be able to add this device to extend the existing apple wi-fi network?

- Answer Yes and No. The eero cannot wirelessly extend a non-eero wifi network. So, if you hardwire this eero to your Airport Extreme, setup the eero and put the eero into bridge mode, the eero will create a wifi network for your device to connect to. Since the eero is bridged it have the Airport Extreme handle all the networking tasks, the eero will just do wifi. Devices on the eero wifi will be able to talk to stuff connected directly to the Airport Extreme. If you are wanting more range you can then use additional eero (they will connect to the head/gateway eero wirelessly or wired) and those eero will broadcast the same wifi.

- Answer By itself, no. You would need to have eero A hardwired to your modem, this will be the gateway/head eero and will broadcast a wifi network for your devices. You can have eero B connect to eero A (either wired or wirelessly) and it will broadcast the same wifi network. So, you would need at least 2 eero to do that.

- Answer If you are referring to the ISP yes, eero should work with any ISP as long as the ISP provides eero with access to the internet via an ethernet port.

- Answer As long as the eero is not in bridge mode (and by default it is not) yes, it does have a firewall. If the eero is bridged then you would need to make sure your router has a firewall.

- Answer Yes, all eero models will work with all other eero models. It is recommended to replace the other A010001 eero you have, those are out of support and are not getting updates anymore.

- Answer You should be able to use them together. All eero are designed to work with all other eero. I would give eero support a call (number is in the eero app->Settings->Troubleshooting) so we can see what is going wrong.

- Answer It will depend on the Wifi the Swam Camera supports. The eero provides WPA2 PSK AES wifi, most devices should work with it. From what I saw on their site they have some cameras that are 2.4 only. If that is the case you will want to go, in the eero app, to Settings->Troubleshooting->MY device can't connect->My device is 2.4 only and enable that. You will then want to toggle wifi off and then on for the device that has their app. For devices setup with an app the device and the camera will need to be on the same 2.4 band for setup to successfully complete.

- Answer Yes, as long as the CenturyLink modem provides the eero with access to the internet via an ethernet cable, the eero will work fine. The hardwired eero will become the head/gateway eero and broadcast the wifi network. Other eero can connect to that gateway eero (either wired or wireless) and broadcast the same wifi

- Answer No, the eero does require access to the internet via ethernet cable, so you will need a modem or ONT at least, but you do not need an existing wifi router for the eero to work from. One of the eero will be hardwired to that internet connection and it will make a wifi network (it will then become the gateway/head eero). Additional eero will connect to that gateway eero (via wired or wireless) and broadcast the same wifi network, making a wide ranged network.

- Answer Just ac power. The head/gateway eero will need power as well as ethernet to the internet. Other eero on the network only need power.

- Answer Should be imprinted on the unit Or if you have a WiFi capable phone you can look at the broadcasted signal and it will report the MAC address
