This device is not waterproof it is water resistant though I wouldn't work no shower is just for a splash as far as the responders I'm not sure I've never had to use that part but I've had one now for 3 years and I know it gets 911 because I tested it and I'm always touching the tester button by accident but what it does it contacts 911 just like a cell phone would other than that you're on your own it may not be good like if you're out of range or if you travel a lot but I'm at home most of the time so that doesn't matter I wanted it I wanted it for the security in case of a fall living alone

I called the manufacturer and was told, "it happens." IT HAPPENS??? Wow, how much confidence does that give you? He went on to say that it only uses 2G (ancient) technology. If you buy one TEST IMMEDIATELY. Do not assume this thing will work when you need it.
