A: This device is not waterproof it is water resistant though I wouldn't work no shower is just for a splash as far as the responders I'm not sure I've never had to use that part but I've had one now for 3 years and I know it gets 911 because I tested it and I'm always touching the tester button by accident but what it does it contacts 911 just like a cell phone would other than that you're on your own it may not be good like if you're out of range or if you travel a lot but I'm at home most of the time so that doesn't matter I wanted it I wanted it for the security in case of a fall living alone

A: No this does not require a monthly plan it works off cell towers just like a cell phone but you have to be awake to push the button and tell them where you are it doesn't have a service it just connects with 911
