    • Answer Hey there, While this induction cooktop's heating zone is 5-6 inches, the heat will conduct outward through your pan's material - so a 12" pan will work but with less efficiency as only the center receives direct electromagnetic heating. For best results, we recommend using pans between 4.7-10.8 inches.
