Hi Z8, When you place an original directly on the scan glass of the WorkForce Pro WF-7840 the maximum scan size is 11.3" x 16.5". This may not be as noticeable when you scan documents because they frequently have white borders that do not show on a scan. In order to scan a full 17" length, you must use the ADF.
