- Answer Yes, you just need a foot of open space to the left and right. We have a bookcase on the right side and it still works great so idk how strict that actually is.

- Answer Yes! It has an automatic detection system that can tell when it’s on carpet or not. It will try to mom them if they are plastic or try to vacuum them if they are carpet!!
