How does the GPS feature work? null

You just go to the Exercise screen and choose run. It will pair with your phone and record your run. It has pace, distance and will map out the route on Google maps. You can see the map on the App on your phone and your pace/time/distance on your watch.

It sinks with your phones GPS, it does not have its own GPS.

Haven't used it much except on my walk. I am able to see my route.

Yes it does as long as your phone is on you. Other than that it won't. The surge is the GPS enabled one.

The Blaze does not have a built in GPS, however it uses the GPS built into your smartphone but you have to be connected through Bluetooth. On the activity menu of the Blaze you need to flip to 'Exercise" and pick from Bike or Run. Next, the mini menu will walk you through connecting to your phone and the GPS. You will need to manually turn this feature off after your finish your bicycle ride or run

It requires your phone to be within bluetooth distance (in your pocket). You press run, it syncs with the phone and the phone tracks your GPS distance while the fitbit tracks heart rate and steps
