- Answer I'm not a doctor, but since the Charge HR uses light pulses to track blood flow, it should be safe. However, this is a terrible product as I've bought one a year ago and had to have it replaced 3 separate times under the warranty. Now, only a week after the warranty expired, the 4th one failed. Terrible product for $130-150.

- Answer It tracks the wearers fitness. If you're talking about the Charge HR specially, the HR stands for Heart Rate and it reads the wearers pulse off of their skin and gives instant pulse readings. The heart rate information can also be stored and synced with the user's phone to track the entire workout and see if they were in their target heart rate zone. Aside from heart rate, it also tracks steps and calories burned based on the user's body measurements. Of course, it keeps time and has fun features like alarms and text message notifications when paired with a smartphone.

- Answer No it is not waterproof. Water resistant meaning sweat won't hurt it but you cannot put it in a washing machine.

- Answer It's not clear what you want to track but I like the Fitbit Charge HR. It tracks your heart rate, steps taken, stairs climbed and calories burned. When used with the Fitbit app, you can enter food eaten and more.

- Answer Since music is not an option for the Fitbit HR Charger you must carry another device. However you really aren't carrying the fitbit, since it is worn like a watch.

- Answer I find my HR to be equal in tracking abilities to the Misfit Shine 2. Obviously any tracker that has active GPS will prove to be the best tracker for distances. The Heart Monitor is equal to that of my Samsung Gear 2.

- Answer Make sure that you sync your fitbit to your phone or pc. This should update the date and time. When I travel I have to do this to get the right time zone to show up.

- Answer The battery is build in (not replaceable). It comes with a special charger that connects to the USB port of your computer. It does not come with an AC adapter so if you need one, grab one in your way out of the store. They USB AC adapters aren't usually very expensive.
