The band, clasp and device itself is all a plastic/rubbery material. The locking clips on the bands to change it out appear to have a metal latch but they do not comes in contact with your skin at any time during normal wear. The only other part that is metal is the three dots on the underside that are used for charging but those are recessed so I don't think they would come in contact with skin either during normal wear. Not sure if this will help you or not but hope so!
