Hi Mammo! Thank you for your inquiry. We are unable to provide a lifespan on our appliances, being that we do not have a set life expectancy. You would not have to replace the Freon occasionally. However, if it is needed an authorized technician would need to do so. We hope this helps! -Thanks!-

I get about 5 to 8 years depending on make, model, size, and how well you maintain and clean them. All the window units I have owned are sealed, you cannot ad feon,and I haven't been able to find a repair place to service one either, they all have said "it's cheeper to buy another one than to repair this one"
