QuestionI bought this air conditioner as Best Buy states it is for a room up to 550 square feet. The air was delivered and the box says up to 350 square feet. Which is accurate ? My room is 450 square feet.

- Answer Your box should say it cools up to 550 square feet. This also happened to me last week. They shipped me the one that says cools up to 250 square feet instead of 550 square. I contacted Best Buy support and they had UPS come pick up my unit & fedex delivered the correct one. You also have the option of going into a Best Buy location & exchanging it out.

QuestionThis unit is off-gassing a strong plastic smell, even after a few weeks out of the box and all set up. Will the smell ever dissipate?

- Answer Thanks for the reply--hopefully that's helpful to someone, but that isn't the issue for me, unfortunately. The smell is coming seemingly from the plastic itself and is there whether unit is running or not. The smell is worse when unit's running and especially if the windows are closed up. Was hoping it was just "new" smell, some of the machine oils from being packed or whatever. The shorter return window has elapsed on this so guess I'm stuch. Maybe over a few months of use will go away? It does do the job of cooling well tho.

- Answer Hello. Thank you for reaching out to us. Please try these basic troubleshooting guide: 1. Press the “RESET” button on the unit’s power cord. If you have a LCDI plug, which detects damage and circuit disruption, ensure it has been properly RESET the same way. 2. Ensure the unit itself is turned “ON” and that the desired FAN or COOL setting has been selected. 3. Some models will default to the ECON mode and not turn on the unit until it samples the air and calls for the compressor to work. Ensure that your unit is not on this setting unless you want it to be. 4. Adjust temperature to a relatively common setting, such as 70-75ºF (to start off with) - Maria

QuestionThe manual says the Advance filter isn’t included. Is there a part number or a link to get the right one? Also from what I understand I shouldn’t need to drain the unit if I only use fan or cool mode and what size is the condensation tank?
