- Answer I know this is an old question but per the manual that sound can happen and is normal. Something about water dripping on the compressor. I believe it in the manual listed under 'normal sounds'.

QuestionHow many inches does this unit stick out into the room? What is the depth of the part that sticks outside of the window? We have bars and need a shallow AC unit.

- Answer The interior projection is approximately 8 inches and the exterior projection will vary from 10 to 14 inches, depending on the depth of the window frame.

- Answer On the interior the unit sticks out considerably more than non Wi-Fi unit. Exterior seemed normal. Read reviews for this product + $ave your money!!!! The app malfunctions regularly + it's pretty noisy compared to no Wi-Fi unit. Wemo smart plug app is great

QuestionDoes this AC come with all the necessary supply to install the AC in the window like the Accordion looking sidings to fill the window as well as the screws to keep it in place etc... Because all it says on what's included is the owners manual and the AC?

- Answer Yep, comes with everything. It has the accordion siding things, but then also has these inserts you cut to fit once installed to cover up the accordion so it has a more finished look.

QuestionDoes this unit require a designated wiring and a special outlet? or It can be just plugged in normally to the wall outlet without any special enhancement to make sure there's no bad circuit?

- Answer The unit does come with 2x side trims that can be added - for my windows, I only needed 1x side of the trim installed. Hope this helps.

QuestionI understand you cannot turn off the WiFi function. Will the unit work at all if you do not even have WiFi?

- Answer I own this unit, and think you can. There is a button on the unit where you can turn the wireless option on and off. Manually. Or, you can just not use the app at all, if I'm following your question correctly? Check the manual and troubleshooting area.

- Answer You probably can if you remove both windows by removing the attached screws to your window, and then making a custom board to cover the top part of the window. A little more work than a window that open up and down, but side one is doable, if you don't mind working a bit!
