• If your window is wide/tall enough then yes. This unit is rather wide though. Look up measurements.

• Yes it can. You have to cover the remainder of opening with something though. Wood plexiglass cardboard ect

• Nope only up and down : ) I do believe Fridgidaire manufactures vertical window a/c units.
