As long as there's space for the width of the unit, it will fit. But most horizontal windows don't leave enough of a gap for a window A/C. This one is very small, though. In order to block the gap that will be above the unit, use 1" foamboard. That works much better to seal it off than the flimsy slider that normally goes on either side of the unit in a vertical window.
