A:Answer I've had this 70-pint Frigidaire brand for years. Never had one freeze up. Have had them blow warm air after a while, but until the unit is running but shows no decrease in humidity for a few hours and it still shows 70-80% humidity, then you'll have to get a new one. I live in a very high humidity city and it keeps my indoor around 50%, while taking the pressure off my main A/C to keep pumping water (humidity) out.
