QuestionI got this for my garage. I ran it about 24 hours on continuous. I then set it to 50. It shows that the garage is 45, but continues to run. Why is that?

- Answer I noticed the same thing. I do believe the fan always stays on. However, the compressor should shut off once it reaches the desired humidity level.

- Answer This depends on the air turnover in the room being dehumidified, the amount of water being fed into the room, and the fan speed of the dehumidifier. It's not a difficult calculation, but it's probably a good idea to talk with your home heating and air conditioning company.

- Answer You can use it anywhere you like. However, if the garage isn't fairly tight (that is, if the humid Florida air is continuously feeding moist air into the garage), the unit will run continuously and not make a dent in the RH. An HVAC company can advise.

- Answer EC means the dehumidifier sealed system has failed and you should contact frigidaire for replacement..warranty is 5 yrs for the sealed system.

- Answer My experience is that If the unit has a Humidistat the FAN WILL shutoff when the humidity setting is reached.

- Answer We didn't have an old one. However, the unit has a compressor and uses a refrigerant. Thus, the interior tubing has to be drained. This requires that the retailer or some other company with this capability do this.

- Answer You have to empty the bucket on order for it to keep working at optimal efficiency. And keep the filter clean as well so the humidity can get absorbed by the dehumidifier!!

- Answer I expect the hose connection to the unit is leaking into the bucket. It is a very simple design: water drips into the bucket or into the hose, if attached.

- Answer The FO error code may or may not indicate a genuine problem. Every company that makes dehumidifiers will eventually produce a unit that has problems...this is inevitable. Below is a link that may help.
