Q: QuestionWhat is difference in Frigidaire "free standing" unit and other ranges that are "slide-in" units. It looks like it is quite similar to other stand-in units.

• A:Answer Freestanding just means it has side panels that cover the ugly "guts" of the oven normally visible on the sides, so that you can put the stove somewhere it doesn't have counters to hide both sides, without it looking weird and exposed. Slide-in units don't have these panels because counters will presumably hide the sides anyway (this theoretically makes them slightly cheaper).

Q: QuestionWhen the oven is on, does the temperature always show in the display?

• A:Answer Yes it does. Once you set the oven temperature, it displays the current temp and you'll see it as it goes up. When you open that over door and heat escapes, you'll also see the drop in temp on the display.
