• It should be constantly pulled into a cigarette lighter in the vehicle. If you do take it off to take pictures of an accident or such, battery will last about 10-20 minutes

• The battery is continuously being charged when the dash cam is powered. When disconnected and operated manually it should give about 45 minutes.

• The battery capacity is for only one hour max. The camera should be connected at all times. The battery should be needed after a crash for you to record the damage to the vehicles and other important related information like final vehicle position for the insurance companies to figure out who is at fault.
