- Answer Yes, it will stop recording once you start viewing playback but you can view the videos right on the device. ~JH

- Answer Yes..... it records over the earliest recording. You can always protect any recording and it will not erase then. Each segment is 4 minutes long but there is no gaps in the time

- Answer It will be fine - mine lives in car in the sun all the time - its not garaged. No trouble even when the outside temp was over 100 and the interior was way hotter than that.

QuestionDoes the dash camera record 24/7?When I park my truck at night or in a store parking lot and turn the truck off (12v DC outlet stays hot) will the camera continue to record? I ask because I would like to see if someone broke into or hit my truck while I was away. Thanks!

- Answer The Dash Cam 20 records as long as it is plugged into a power source. It features automatic Incident Detection (G-Sensor) with customizable sensitivity settings. When an incident – like hard braking or a collision – is detected, the current, last and next recordings are saved. This ensures you can see the whole incident from start to finish. ^DK

- Answer There is not a button that can be pressed to change what angle or direction is being recorded. The Dash Cam 20 uses a swivel style mount on the windshield, so the camera could be turned to the side for this kind of application. ^DK

- Answer It should be constantly pulled into a cigarette lighter in the vehicle. If you do take it off to take pictures of an accident or such, battery will last about 10-20 minutes

QuestionMy 10/20 cam with a memory card but there is no slot on camera for the card. How do I install this?My 10/20 does not have a slot for card. Card came with it??

- Answer I'd be glad to help you with this. There is a slot on the side of the camera for inserting the card. Typically, the Dash cam comes with a card already inserted. If you're looking at the screen of the camera and holding it so it reads 'Garmin' at the top, the memory card slot would be on your left side. It's on the same side as, and directly below the power button. I hope this helps Thanks for asking! *CG

- Answer It will automatically record over old video files unless you have pressed the video button to mark a video or the unit marks it for you because it sensed an event. Three 4-5 minute files are saved with each mark; the marked file and the one in front and behind it.

- Answer Hey Scott, The Dash Cam 20 stores the video files in AVI format to the inserted microSD card. While we only support connecting the Dash Cam to a PC or Mac, you could technically read the data from the microSD card on a tablet and play it, but only if your tablet supports .AVI video file playback. -NM

- Answer Hi, The footage from the Dash Cam 20 is stamped with this information so you know exactly when and where the video was taken. When viewing the footage on your computer, you will have a record of latitude, longitude, date, time, speed and direction of travel. -NM

- Answer Yes the dash mount comes with certain models. Check the contents in box before purchasing. Mine came with one.

- Answer The Dash Cam 20 can use a SD card as large as a 32GB. At this time only our Dash Cam 30 and 35 can take a card as large as a 64GB. ~JH

- Answer Yes, you can review recorded footage and still pictures by pressing the play button. Keep in mind the screen is relatively small. Recorded video is easier to view from a larger screen, such as your computer monitor.

- Answer I bought a hard wire crod from Amazon that is 12 ft long and tucked it aways myself it took 30 minutes and it was easy. The cord was $12.

Questiongator76Does this camera have some sort of "parking" function, whereby it will have Motion Detection or Motion Sensor to turn itself ON from STANDBY when something happens? I am assuming the device is plugged in to a Always On 12 volt outlet.

- Answer It turns off when the power is off. If you have a older car where the cigarette lighter is always on, you would need to unplug it.

- Answer The first on the left is the button used to flag/mark a video file manually to save it. The next is the setting menu button. After it is the playback button to view files on the sd card. The last button is used to take a picture of what is currently being viewed.
