The Dash Cam 20 records as long as it is plugged into a power source. It features automatic Incident Detection (G-Sensor) with customizable sensitivity settings. When an incident – like hard braking or a collision – is detected, the current, last and next recordings are saved. This ensures you can see the whole incident from start to finish. ^DK
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, as long as it has power, and as long as the memory card does not fill, it will continue to record. If you are interested in long record times, I would recommend getting the largest possible memory card (32 GB) and setting the recording quality to a lower setting such as 720p or VGA.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ours is always on, whether the truck is running or not. And it's on a continuous loop record.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the camera continues to record. But depending on the size of micro card you have in it, it's possible the recording will overlap (i.e. record over) some of the time. A 32GB card, which is the maximum the -20 accepts will record about 4 hours before it starts lapping and recording over the oldest recording.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as the outlet is hot and the dash cam is plugged in it will record all the time. Just choose the option to turn off the screen so that it is not lit and be a give away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes... As long as the DC is hot, it will stay on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the camera will stay on as long as it has power from the external power source. Check your trucks owner's manual. You may be able to reconfigure the 12V outlet so that it goes off when the ignition is off and then it will come back on when the ignition is turned on. If that's the case the Dash Cam will automatically go on and off with the ignition.
