QuestionWhen I check the mileage from my Garman to my phone GPS there is 150 miles different. The phone GPS says 814 miles and the Garman tells me it’s 966 miles what is the problem

- Answer The mileage shown on the GPS is the total distance to that location in a geographical straight line ("as the crow flies"). If you want to find out the total mileage for a route, press go and allow the GPS to calculate the route.

QuestionHow exactly does the anntena work via the plug in?? What is it reading/picking up from if it's not connected via Bluetooth from your phone? I mean for the live traffic esp... thank you for your time!

- Answer The vehicle power cable is also an antenna that receives the FM traffic signal and then sends the data to the GPS.

QuestionWhat is the key difference between the Garmin 61 Drive Smart and the Garmin 60 Drive aside from screen size). My car does have Blue tooth for the phone but doesn't have a display. Trying to justify the $100,00 price difference.

QuestionMy cars are old and do not have Bluetooth. How do I use this model with no bluetooth?

- Answer It doesn't need BlueTooth. It acquires GPS satellite almanac information via satellite radio signals (can take up to 10 minutes if it has been turned off more than a day) and the traffic information via its power-cord that is also an antenna (there is a radio traffic broadcast signal Garmin can receive). You don't speak to this model, but it speaks to you as it has an internal speaker.... mostly notices that your next exit is up ahead, etc.

- Answer No, this model doesn’t include a built-in dash cam. You may consider the Garmin DriveAssist 50/51, this model includes the dash cam.

QuestionDoes this unit have all the back roads (dirt and oil field) programmed into it's maps? As an environmental tech, I have to go to locations that are given to me by Long./Latt. that leads me down into remote locations
