A:Answer Yes (sort of). You can ask categories or a specific location but I have had great difficulty in it understanding when I ask for a specific location, even talking slowly, clearly, and (at times) loudly. Overall, I love it. Just some additional info-if you want to use the weather and/or traffic, the first time it will take a long time (took 20 minutes to tell me if there was any traffic on my route). After the first time, it seems to be much faster. You do have to download the app on your phone to use those features. When using those features, make sure you have someway to keep your phone charged-it eats the battery. I only have one "cigarette lighter" port and the GPS must me plugged in to that at all times. I had to purchase a device that would allow me to plug multiple plugs into the one port. They aren't expensive but wish I had of known I needed it before I was lost with no phone and the GPS did not pick up on the fact that the road it told me to take was closed and it would not find another route. Being lost in a city I was completely unfamiliar with, with no phone at 11:30 pm was not fun. I've attached an example of an adapter but you can find more at Walmart and Amazon.
