• A:Answer Hi Christian, Yes, the GPS with work on its own. You will not need a cell phone to have the GPS to work. To load maps on to the fenix 5x, you will load them using a USB cord and a PC. Yes, their are maps available for all over the world. The device has 16 GB of free space on the device for mapping. Thanks Chris

• A:Answer Using the native gps/mapping system, it is possible, but I wouldn't recommend it, since it will likely be highly distracting, and that would make for dangerous driving. If you want a google maps style direction and map, I would suggest looking into r.485 maps. It can be used to send google map data to the watch for watch based directions and a live (if extremely basic) map.

• A:Answer Hi, The big difference between the fenix 3 HR and fenix 5x is the fenix 5x has mapping on the device. It will include TOPO, Cycle mapping, and Golf course mapping. Both fenix models have running and SUP applications but the fenix 5 series has the Rep Counting feature on the watch. This feature will count the number of reps performed during exercise. The fenix 5 series will etect exercises that are designed to target single muscle groups/body part. Thanks Chris
