That can depend on what type of workout you're doing. If you are doing a workout such as weights, elliptical, rowing etc., you may need to wear a chest strap as your wrist movement may cause the OHR to read good enough HR. I recommend going to support.garmin.com where you'll find FAQ's on heart rate accuracy. Debbie with Garmin
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe so. I was using a Polar FT 60 and the measurements on the 235 are very very different. I think as far as heart rate with chest strap and data like V02 max Polar is much more accurate.
