QuestionCan the camera be hardwired in?I'm just wondering if the camera has to be installed "wireless". Can it be hardwired? I have a camera installed in my wife's car already and I could use the same path, maybe even the same wire. Anyone know the answer?

- Answer The nüvi 2798LMT is designed to work with the included BC20 backup camera and does not support a wired camera. The BC20 is hardwired to your vehicle for power and transmits wirelessly to the nüvi. ^DK

- Answer All You have to do is hook the plate on back and you need to update maps and away you go. Real Simple, but need computer to download and plug into the computer. Very easy to enter the address and whatever options you want. I Love it, better then my car navigation. I haven't had the back up sensor hooked up yet. Not in a hurry to hook up either, it was like a freebie bundle. I am very pleased with it. Don't know which vehicle I would be driving with the back up sensor is why I haven't done anything. You will be pleased though, nice big size. About driving, I drove in South Carolina and it was real accurate.

- Answer The nüvi 2798LMT is an automotive GPS unit. Since it's not designed for in air navigation, it does not report altitude. However, all Garmin automotive devices allow you to view your current location's elevation. * Note that elevation on automotive devices is based solely on map data and may not be 100% accurate, depending on satellite signal strength and available map data. - Answer I was charged $129. Took 2 tries - about 6 hours. Didn't charge me for the relay.

- Answer DEPENDS ON 12V SOURCE.IF CAMERA IS WIRED TO BACK UP LIGHTS IT ONLY ACTIVATES IN REVERSE.IF WIRED TO 12V SOURCE WITH IGNITION ON IT WILL REMAIN ON.
