The nüvi 56 does not include the required traffic receiver cable to receive traffic updates; however, one can be added as an accessory purchase. The nüvi 56 comes preloaded with mapping that covers the U.S. and Canada, whereas the nüvi 57 only covers the lower 49 states. The nüvi 57 includes the foursquare and direct access features.
