The Garmin RV 1090 includes routing for RVs plus it has a car mode just for passenger vehicles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This should satisfy your desire for a large, responsive touch screen GPS without regard to using the RV-specific functions but those amenities (routing/avoiding based on vehicle height/width/weight, database of campgrounds, sites to visit, etc) are what set this apart from non-RV GPS units.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've not seen any models this size (10") solely for cars and I'm glad it isn't. I bought it for use in my car and I really enjoy the camping and exploring POI's it has. It'll ask you what kind type of vehicle you're driving every time you power it on and I just tap car. There are a couple of things that make it an "RV" unit. Primarily, it's large size, temporary and permanent mounting brackets, vehicle type selection (car, motor home, car and trailer, motor home and trailer) which adapt routing settings to avoid low bridges, too narrow or weight limited roads, etc. It also has a lot of useful POI's to make trips easier and give you places to explore. So long as the map has that info on where you're going.
