- Answer I wear mine in the pool for 30+ minutes at a time. Works great there an in the ocean. I never take it off!

- Answer Nope. The brains of the vivofit 3 tracker sits inside a pocket of the band. So your skin only touches the band and the plastic clasp.

QuestionHow do I replace the battery?

- Answer If you choose to replace the battery yourself, you'll pull on one side of the band and pop the vivofit 3 device out of the band's pocket. Flip the vivofit 3 device over to locate the screw heads. Then you'll need to unscrew 4 small screws with a jewelers Philips screwdriver, remove the cover and swap out the battery. Then reverse your steps (install cover, put the 4 screws back, slip the vivofit 3 device back into the pocket of the band. You can probably take it to a watch place to have them replace the battery for a small fee.

- Answer No. You need to purchase a separate heart rate monitor. Garmin sells an ANT+ connected chest band heart rate monitor.

QuestionMy question's about the calorie tracker, does it only track how many calories burned while walk/running, or can this count all calories burned like when i kickbox, yoga, zumba, crossfit? Can it count the calories i burn regardless of what activity i do?

- Answer Yes it will track calories from other forms of exercise; however, this one is much different from the first one I bought. I noticed while riding in my truck it goes off stating the I’ve hit my “steps” goal after a five hour trip...which doesn’t make any sense. I wouldn’t recommend this style of the Vivo-smart 3 . I hope this helps with your decision.

- Answer You do not have to sync with an app for the device to work. However, we do recommend that it be connected to either a smart phone or our Garmin Express program on your computer so any available updates can be sent to the device. Debbie with Garmin

- Answer The battery for the vivofit 3 activity tracker does not need charging. It is rated for 1 year of use. When the battery is depleted you can replace it yourself or probably take it to a jeweler or watch place to get the battery replaced. It uses a CR1632 coin cell battery.

- Answer I've had mine about a month and it does track sleep such as deep and light and how much movement you had during the night. If you don't sync it EVERY day, you will lose the previous night's data, though. And although it has you put down your "normal" sleep times, it will usually catch if you go to bed early/late or get up early/late.

- Answer Let me state I do not know specifically, I would think if you can get the Garmin Connect app for the computer and have Bluetooth connectivity, I would think it should work.

- Answer Barely fits a 9" wrist. My roommate is a former professional bodybuilder. He used to press 450 lbs. He is an abnoxiously muscular man. It fits on the very last hole but breaks regularly. Replacement bands on Amazon are not much bigger. It is ad if the fitness industry only targets very small people rather than health conscious individuals.
