A:AnswerHi Lynda - The exhaust vent is on the left side if facing the door. Approximate Product Dimensions (WxHxD) (in.) 20 5/16 in x 12 in x 15 5/8 in. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. We recommend 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. A:AnswerHi DB- Cooking foods in a microwave oven for an extended period of time can cause a heat transfer not only to the internal oven walls and floor, but to the external cabinet as well. Heat is generated outward from the food being cooked. Additionally, the oven's interior lamp and the magnetron tube will contribute to external heat transfer. This condition is considered normal. It should be noted that the internal and external temperatures after extended cooking will vary, naturally, depending on the preparation and the length of the cooking time. Also, microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents; 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and
1" clearance in the rear. See the following link- MICROWAVE AIR CLEARANCE - COUNTERTOP ONLY MODELS: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21668 - Thanks for choosing GE. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHi Lazza- Thanks for choosing GE! The inside of the microwave door is covered with a thick, clear plastic sheet that should not be removed. The purpose of this plastic is to prevent any interference with the metal screen in the door. This covering is glued on. Should this be removed or become damaged, the microwave should not be used and service should be contacted. On some microwaves, there may be a white plastic strip (or tape) on the inside of the door where the window meets the door frame. This is a protective film and should be removed. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHi Mums- Yes, the 12.75" turntable is removable for cleaning. Turntable and support must
