Q: QuestionI want to mount this microwave under a cabinet but not directly over the stove. Is this model available without venting; that is, not external or recirculating?
Asked by Castle.
- A:Answer Hi Castle- Thanks for choosing GE! All over-the-range microwaves are equipped with an exhaust system. It can be installed under a cabinet, even if there is not a cooking surface underneath; however, the height clearances must still be met. Over-the- range models must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. Check out the Installation Instructions online (page 7): http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40765.pdf- Enjoy! SUEatGEA

Q: QuestionMy old GE microwave (JVM3670SK06) needs to be replaced, what would be the correct replacement?
Asked by snoman.
- A:Answer Hi snowman- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! When you are replacing a 36" over-the-range microwave, many current 30" over-the-range microwaves offer an optional 36" filler kit (sold separately) to allow it to be installed in a 36" cut-out opening. GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SK is a nice choice and compatible with Optional 36" Side Filler Panel Kit JX36DSS (sold separately). Keep in touch! SUE@GEA

Q: QuestionI need to replace a GE Profile Spacemaker 1.8 Cu Ft microwave over oven PVM1870SMSS - it is no longer being produced. What will fit into the space? It has a fan that I need and a light and hooked up to a vent
Asked by Johnny.
- A:Answer Double check the size of the microwave oven from the spec versus the dimension from the old oven. IF the old oven is 30" wide, the existing space should fit. I use the old frame from the retired frigidaire oven to hang the new GE Oven without drilling any new holes to the wall. However, I have to make a minor adjustment on the top supporting screws. Depend upon what kind of vent you have. The new GE has the fan to vent the air either inside (recirculating) of outside the house. The fan can be adjusted either blow vertical (if the vent pipe is on the top), or horizontal (if the vent pipe is behind the oven thru the wall). Hope this help.

Q: QuestionI am replacing a microwave that is 29.75" wide, which is the measurement of this microwave. It fits perfectly in my space. Most microwaves seem to be 29.87" wide, which would be too wide. Am I going to be OK with this microwave?
Asked by Grandma.
- A:Answer If my cabinet is only 29 inches can I ing a microwave that will fit this cabinet
