• Hi, just purchased the same. Saw those same comments; and to date- I have not experienced a noisy fridge. Obviously, there IS a compressor that runs to keep your food cold, but I find the unit not noisy at all.

• Hello Redo. This is Lida with GE Appliances. This unit does make some sound as it is running. The volume level and whether it "would be a problem" is more subjective and hard to answer. Thanks for checking.
