• Yes, the hinge is reversible on this unit.

• Yes it can, in fact it is the first thing we did before installing it next to the wine refrig we already owned! It is easy and the holes lined up perfectly -- however I caution you to securely tape the door BEFORE you start. It will keep the door aligned and will make a smoother transition. Our tape wasn't quite strong enough and the door dropped a bit so we had to spend time adjusting it. Didn't take much but you can save yourself time if you use stronger tape!
