Does this unit require manual defrosting? null

Hi Catblue - Model GLE12HSLSS is Frost-Free (Adaptive Defrost/Frost Guard). Manual defrosting is not required. Adaptive defrost means that the refrigerator will only defrost as needed. It accounts for door openings and usage to determine when it is necessary to defrost and how long the defrost cycle needs to run. It has a frost free freezer so no ice buildup requiring no defrosting.

I have owned this refrigerator/freezer for a short amount of time. So, t has not needed a defrosting. My only comment about it is that the doors do not shut completely on its own. I always check that they are closed and not left ajar.
