A:Answer Hi, thanks for asking these questions! We do not recommend removing the countertop, as it is there by design and taking it off could interfere with the dishwasher's performance. As for hoses, this dishwasher comes equipped with a unicouple (you can see all the supplied parts on page 1 of the installation instructions). The unicouple’s small hose carries water from the faucet to the dishwasher and its large hose carries water from the dishwasher to the sink. Just be sure to run garbage disposal prior to use, to clean out the disposer and thus allow water to drain from the sink through the disposer and down the drain. When you're ready to use the portable dishwasher, you'll simply move it close to the sink, hook up the unicouple hose to your sink's faucet adapter, turn on the hot water (checking for leaks), plug in the dishwasher's power cord to an electrical outlet, and choose your wash cycle. More information about connecting and disconnecting the portable dishwasher can be found on page 10 of the owner's manual. We hope this helps! All the best, Kelsey@GEA
