• A:Answer Yes. I am a contractor and I have installed these in cabinetry with a trim kit many times. I am not aware if anyone makes an under cabinet mounting kit. Probably would require a shelf system to bear the weight.

Q: QuestionI need to replace GE Profile Microwave model PEB2060SM that was installed using a trim kit - What is a suitable replacement so I can reuse the trim kit? Thanks.

• A:Answer Thanks for checking with us. This particular model (GCST20S1WSS) is a countertop only model and can't be built-in with a trim kit. We recommend model PCWK22U1WDD and one of the following trim kits that are approved. X7227SLSS (Stainless steel); JX7230SLSS (Stainless steel). We don't have a current microwave that will allow you to use your trim kit. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for the specific microwave model so that the trim kit fits the microwave and provides the proper air flow that it needs. Thank you! • A:Answer This is a counter top microwave and is not designed to be built-in. To ensure proper operation, we recommend you have a minimum of 3" of air clearance on each side and at the top as well as 1" clearance in the rear. -Vikki@GEAppliances

• A:Answer This microwave is intended for countertop use only. It is not approved for a built-in installation with a trim kit. You also cannot reuse a trim kit for another microwave unit as each microwave is going to have a custom one made for that specific unit. Dianna@GE Appliances

Q: QuestionI need to replace my current built in microwave GE model PEB7227SL1SS. 14”H x 24 1/8” W x 19 3/4” D. Will this model work? Or what is the closest GE product that would fit and would I be able to use my current trim kit?

• A:Answer This is a countertop microwave only. It is not approved to be built in. We have model PCWK15C1WSS that is closest in size to your current unit. Your space will need to be slightly modified for this model. You'll also need to ensure you use the hardware and brackets that come with the new microwave, as they are model specific. -Kacie@GEAppliances
