Q: QuestionHow do I make the water colder? It seems like it's just a bit colder than room temperature

• A:Answer Hello - We can certainly understand tour concern about the water not being cold. Bottom freezer and French door refrigerators have a water reservoir coil in the fresh food section that holds 12 - 24 oz. of water. The water is chilled and stored until it is needed. Since the reservoir is in the fresh food section, the water will not be ice-cold. After the 12 - 24 oz. of cold water is dispensed, any additional water dispensed will not be chilled until the water in the coil tubing has had time to chill again. You can also adjust the temperature in the fresh food section to a colder setting. We hope this helps. Thanks for checking. Olga@GEA

When loading the refrigerator in a moving van, truck, etc., it is best to keep it standing upright to minimize possible damage to the sealed system or prevent damage to loose items. French-Door & Bottom-Freezer models: These must always remain upright, though they can be tilted to get through doorways, etc. We hope this was helpful! Mike@GEA

Q: QuestionDo you have to connect the internal water dispenser to have water for ice? I question wasting energy by opening the door constantly for water so I would like to shut off. Also can water spills or drips get into the freezer?

The external water line runs into a single valve that directs the water to either the dispenser or the icemaker. The best option here is to simply not use the internal water dispenser.
