Q: QuestionOur GE GDT655SGJBB dishwasher dish washing cycle completes, but on occasion the green cycle light does not come on. Dishes are clean. It's amber when it's running, but then no green. Is this a concern?

• A:Answer Hi TBM - We are sorry to hear your 2 year old dishwasher suddenly stopped working. This is frustrating, we know. Make sure the dishwasher door is closed tightly and is latched correctly. Open the door and then close it again firmly. The dishwasher may be installed with a power cord that has come loose. Not all dishwashers have a power cord; however, if your dishwasher has a cord, the outlet will be in an adjacent cabinet. If it is plugged into a GFI/GFCI outlet that has a reset button, press Reset on the outlet to restore power. Also, if your dishwasher is controlled by a wall switch, make sure the power is turned on. Wall switches are required in some areas, so check around the kitchen counter or in the cabinet under the sink for a switch you do not normally use. Q: QuestionGET655SFLDS dishwasher has loud buzzing noise and runs for hours after shuts off. GE repairman connects to computer and can’t find anything wrong but won’t stay long enough to hear the problem. It’s loud enough to keep you awake at night.

• A:Answer I did everything you suggested before writing in. I had to call a GE technician out who replaced the board in the control panel $279. I guess I got a lemon. Hope it doesn't happen again.

Q: QuestionHi, How would you load soap for a 1/2 load? Is it the same procedure for only an upper rack vs. only a lower rack? We use the detergent tablets and it seems like 1 tab would be too much for a 1/2 load. Thanks

Q: Questionhelp! upon installing, we attached a brass elbow to the water line and when did our trial run, the water pressure immediately blew out the join between the pvc factory installed mouth and the brass elbow. Any thoughts? Would a pvc elbow be preferable?

• A:Answer The EnergyGuide states 270 kilowatt hours per year (average) for a cost of $32 annual use. I am not sure what they believe as "average use" but for a family with three (3) adults and one child, we use the dishwasher about 3-4 times per week. We have only had this dishwasher for a few months but I have not noticed any unusual increase in our electricity usage. I hope this answer gives you some assistance! For best results, choose Heated Dry and the Wash Temp Boost option to raise the water temperature to improve dry performance. Make sure the water entering the dishwasher is at least 120F and add a rinse agent such as Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid to the rinse agent dispenser. Leave door closed after the Clean light appears to allow the fan to run. Note: If you open the door, this fan extension will be cancelled. Q: QuestionWe have model GDT655SSJ4SS and find the trays don't hold glasses very well. The glasses keep tipping over and occasionally break when they tip over. Can I replace the trays with something else even with another brand's trays?

Shallow items such as cups and small glasses should be loaded along the sides or less deeps areas of the upper rack. Tall, deep glasses, should be loaded in deeper areas of the upper rack, and placed so that they rest firmly against the tines. • A:Answer Mine had interior damage not allowing the top tray to go all the way to the back so the door would not shut unless you pushed hard to close. Check the insides for damage
