Q: QuestionThe hose will not fully connect to the faucet adapter without leaking due to my faucet getting in the way, are there any longer adapters to prevent this?

The faucet adapter included with the dishwasher is designed to fit standard spouts having internal or external threads and works with a 15/16" male thread or 55/64" female thread, standard spout aerator. Q: QuestionDoes this model have a heating element to dry items during a wash cycle?

• A:Answer This dishwasher does not have a heating element. Therefore dishwasher does not have any heated dry setting. Manual which comes with dishwasher says to open the door once cycle ends to help with drying process. Basically air drys your dishes. Called GE appliance parts department who confirmed this model does not have a heating element in the dishwasher for drying.

Q: QuestionWhen the door is closed, I can't see the control panel. It is hidden by the portable top. Can't tell when the cycle has finished or how many minutes are left without opening the door and pausing the cycle. Can the top be moved to solve this?

• A:Answer This is the same problem we had when our new dishwasher arrived. As far as I know the top cannot be removed and the only way to estimate when the cycle is finished is by counting down the time of the specific cycle you began it on. (In the beginning the time is shown when you press the button for the specific cycle you want) There is a very faint beep at the end of the cycle to alert you that the cycle is complete however you cannot hear it if you are not near the appliance. Disappointed with this and definitely a feature that should have been perfected with this model.

Model GPT225SSLSS cannot be converted to a permanent installation. When draining in the sink, if the sink is 34" or higher from the floor, the excess water in unicouple hoses cannot be drained directly into the sink. • A:Answer The controls are located on the top of the door and are only visible when the door is opened. This portable dishwasher does have a drying cycle. To see what part of a cycle the machine is in you have to bend over and peek into the slit above the closed door and see which lights are lit. Not the best system I will admit.

Q: QuestionHi, I purchased this dishwasher and the hose always sticks out and doesn’t retract fully. I’ve had a service technician come over and stated that nothing can be done. Do all portable dishwashers now have this issue?

• A:Answer The hoses on our portable dishwasher stick out and don't fully retract also. The hoses appear to be twisted keeping them from retracting fully. This is such a minor problem that I will wait until the machine needs some sort of major repair until I have a repair person fix the hose problem. You are not the only one who has this problem if that's any consolation.
