Q: QuestionRefrigerator doors must be removed to get it into our house. Can delivery crew/installers do this?

• A:Answer They did for me and reinstalled them. Be sure that they know this in advance so the delivery people have the tools. Also, i hooked up all the water lines and set up the fridge myself. They wanted to charge me an installation fee just for the doors. I explained to them that i was doing the installation and all the crew had to do was get it in my house and kitchen, the delivery only. So i was able to avoid the extra cost of installation.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with any type of warranty with GE? I know you can purchase Geek Squad protection through Best Buy, but I have not and do not really want to spend more money on this.

The icemaker will produce seven cubes per cycle and that is approximately 100-130 cubes in a 24-period, depending on freezer compartment temperature, room temperature, number of door openings and other use conditions. Your icemaker should have a switch on the side and you can actually turn off the icemaker. • A:Answer Hello, and thanks for reaching out to us about this ice maker issue; we are very sorry to hear the switch is broken, and know how frustrating that must be. As the ice maker has broken, we can advise the part number for that is WR30X35287. It is available to view on our GE Parts website, if you need to arrange for a new ice maker. If you think service may be needed, you can reach that department at 1-800-432-2737. In the meantime, the ice maker is meant to stop automatically when the level of ice in the bin reaches the feeler arm, so it will not continue making ice indefinitely. Please note that if you are still using the ice maker and removing ice from the bin, it will start again for long enough to fill back up. We hope this information is helpful, and that you are able to get this issue with the switch addressed.
