    • Answer Hi - Yes, the upper oven is a 1000 Watt, 1.7 cu. ft. microwave with sensor cooking (a built-in sensor in the upper microwave automatically calculates and adjusts cooking times and power levels for favorite foods). Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue

  • QuestionI currently have the microwave wall oven combo model # JKP64G0P3BG and I plan to replace it with this unit. Will the cabinet cutout fit the new unit? Thanks

    • Answer The short answer for us was NO. We had to have the 220v junction box moved closer in the cutout, because the old oven from 1986 had a longer line and the box was below the kitchen floor (in the basement ceiling). So $200 for the electrician to make the new junction box was an unexpected additional expense. Also, the cabinet was about a quarter inch too tight, so we had to widen it on both sides , and trim the counter edge so that the overhang on the oven wouldn't hit it. So $75 more for the carpenter. Be safe and measure carefully!

  • QuestionCan this unit replace Kitchen Aid Electric 27" built in combination oven and microwave model KEMS378X? (Manufactured in 1991.)

    • Answer The measurements they provide are accurate. I’m not familiar with your kitchen aid appliance. Ours was a GE. Pull the unit out an inch or two and measure the opening to see if the new one will fit. Good luck!

  • QuestionOur current oven microwave combination is 26 wide and 46.5 long. Will this unit fit

    • Answer Our wall opening was 27 and the oven was 26 3/4. length was 42 3/8 our open was 43. so I think this unit will not fit. If you have the manufacture name and call them they can give you current model numbers of combinations that will work.

    • Answer Hi Julie- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! The oven cooling fan for the electronic controls is controlled by a thermostat. The cooling fan may run throughout the entire bake cycle and continue even when the oven is off. This is considered normal operation. When running, the fan will emit a low hum sound.
