• A:Answer Hi Krnhny13- Unitized washer dryer units only have one power cord. There is not a separate cord for the washer and the dryer. Electric models should be connected to a dedicated 240V or 208V 30-amp time-delay fuse or circuit breaker. The 240/208V will power the dryer, and the unit internally steps it down to 110/120V for the washer. The power cord should be purchased separately. Thanks for choosing GE! SUE@GEA

Q: QuestionPer the side view photo on the GE web site, the back of the dryer is farther back than the back of the washer so with side venting, the back of the machine can be against the back wall. Is this correct ? If yes, is it 30.87 " to the washer front?

• A:Answer Hi HerbK- On GUD27 unitized washer/dryer units, the dryer is deeper in the rear than the washer. The overhang is 4" past the back panel of the washer, which means it sticks out past the vent, electrical, and plumbing connections. The dryer can sit up against a wall without adding any extra depth to the unit. This provides space for the connections in the rear. Because of this overhang, the unit does not need knockouts to vent to the left or right side. The vent elbow can be turned left, right, or down as needed. Q: QuestionIs the agitator suppose to go slow. I bought this and it is agitating very slow. It doesnt seem right.

• A:Answer Hi Jaye - Many top-load washers have a "traditional" agitator. It has spiral fins that turn through the water during the wash cycle. This action moves the water, which in turn moves the clothes down against the agitator into the water and up the sides of the washer. The slow movement is normal and gentle on clothes. Q: QuestionReally love our GE washer dryer combo. Is there a way to have an “end of cycle buzzer” on the dryer? That’s the only real negative we have except for the noisy wash cycle. Model. GUD27ESSMWH

Q: QuestionI live in a condo and the dryer vent must be on the left side. This unit does not have knockouts to place the vent on the left. Can I have someone cut a hole on the left section where there is usually a knockout so that I can vent it on the left?
