QuestionIs there a way to remove the agitator to clean it out? It is caked up with old fabric softener and dark chips are coming out during the wash. I've tried flushing it several times and reaching inside to wipe it out, but I can't get to the bottom.

- Answer You will not be able to remove the agitator. To properly clean your unit, please review the "Care And Cleaning - Washer" section on pg. 13 of the Owner's Manual. -Don@GEAppliances

QuestionHello I just purchased this washer/dryer center, and the washer sounds awful ... . the second time I tried to wash a small load, because i just got this on Aug 2 2025.. I dont think it is suppost to sound like that?

- Answer Your new washer may sound different from your prior unit because of the newer technology. Clicks, flowing water, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle. - Answer Thanks for checking with us. We recommend checking to see if you have a 3 or 4 prong outlet and purchase the corresponding cord. Electric Models should be connected to a dedicated 240V or 208V 30-amp time-delay fuse or circuit breaker. The 240/208V will power the dryer, and the unit internally steps it down to 110/120V for the washer. Power cords sold separately. Joyce@GEAppliances

- Answer We do not offer a vent-less stackable dryer and matching top load washer. All our laundry centers must be vented to the outside. If you have interest in a front load style washer, check out our Profile UltraFast Combo models PFQ83HSSWWW or PFQ97HSPVDS. These units don’t require venting and will operate on a 120-volt circuit.

- Answer This appliance should be connected to an individual, properly-grounded branch circuit with 240/220 volt single-phase 60 Hz electrical service and should be protected by 30-amp time-delay fuses or circuit breakers. The power cord is available to purchase separately. Purchase the proper voltage cord that matches your existing 240 volt outlet.

- Answer Terrible delivery of product. No water lines brought to new construction. Paid for electric hookup, did not due. Luckily, had a handyman over as I was moving in and he hooked up product, cost me another $100.
