  • QuestionWe purchased this GUD27ESSMWW last May. We got our remodel done enough to install it. I loaded the washer and the water came in fine. But the "agitator" doesn't move. But it makes a noise. It did drain and it spun. What could be wrong with agitator?

    Asked by Peggysue.

    • Answer Hi Peggysue - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your GE laundry center GUD27ESSMWW. We are sorry to hear it does not agitate and glad to help. If the washer fills but never starts to agitate, make sure the drain hose is raised to 30" high. Any less will cause water to siphon back out of tub as it is filling. Take a look at the following link (video): https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17399 - The washer will automatically drain any time the lid is left open for more than 15 minutes and water is present and will automatically drain if left in a paused state with the lid closed for more than 24 hours and water is present. Also, take a look at this link- TOP LOAD WASHER FILLS BUT WILL NOT AGITATE: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17398 - We hope these tips are helpful. • QuestionIs there a dispenser for fabric softener and bleach?

    Asked by Louise.

    • Answer Hi Louise - Model GUD27EESNWW is equipped with a bleach dispenser. It does not have a fabric softener dispenser. On models with an infusor, add diluted liquid fabric softener during the rinse cycle or use a fabric softener ball. Also, Select Deep Rinse option when adding fabric softener to the washer. • QuestionApproximately what temperatures does the water get to at each setting?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi - Thanks for considering GUD27EESNWW! There is not a temperature sensor, so the overall water temperatures can vary depending on the incoming hot and cold water temperature, the hot or cold water pressure, lid openings, etc. On Hot, the hot water is mixed with some cold water and has a temperature of approximately 90-100 degrees F. On Warm it will be approximately 70-74 degrees F. This is assuming the hot water is 135F and the cold water is 60F. Following are factors that could affect the Hot water target temperature: •An incoming hot water temperature of 120F will change the overall hot water temperature, and could keep it closer to the 80-90. •Incoming cold water less than 60 degrees will affect the Hot water temperature. •For safety the washer will only fill with cold water if the lid is raised. This can also alter the overall hot water temperature if the lid is up while it is filling, since it is filling with more cold water than expected. We hope this is helpful. • QuestionIs, or does, this model/serial come in 120 Volt for both the electrical Dryer and Washer?

    Asked by woody.

    • Answer Hi Woody - This model is not offered in 120 Volt. Unitized washer dryer units only have one power cord. There is not a separate cord for the washer and the dryer. Electric Models should be connected to a dedicated 240V or 208V 30-amp time-delay fuse or circuit breaker. The 240/208V will power the dryer, and the unit internally steps it down to 110/120V for the washer. We also offer GE® Space-Saving 2.8 cu. ft. Capacity Stationary Washer with Stainless Steel Basket GNW128SSMWW (120V) and GE Spacemaker® 120V 3.6 cu. ft. Capacity Stationary Electric Dryer DSKS333ECWW. Optional Stacking Kit DSDR24F sold separately. Thanks for considering GE. Keep in touch! Sue
