Q: QuestionWill this work with a GE profile cooktop? I want to replace the down draft only and keep my current cooktop. I know I will need to cut additonal hole in my counter top? What make this turn on and go upu and down? This is about your separate down draft.
Asked by Jim.
- A:Answer Hello there - We're glad to offer some insight in finding a telescopic downdraft system. If your current cooktop has a telescopic system already attached to the unit, then unfortunately, you won't be able to replace just the vent itself. If this is the case, then your options include using your current cooktop without the vent system or replacing the cooktop entirely and buying a telescopic downdraft system at the same time. As for raising and lowering the vent, there is a button on top that you'd press to do so (you can see a diagram of this on page 5 of the owner's manual: https://files.bbystatic.com/1HsCGH3M0oInsp0HFgG3rQ%3D%3D/User%2BManual). We hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions, please connect with us and we'd be happy to help out.

Q: QuestionIs the blower external or built into the downdraft vent unit?
Asked by Yogi.
- A:Answer Hello- Thank you for checking with us. This is a really good question! The blower box and motor will be housed underneath the cooktop. This is why you wouldn't be able to install an oven underneath your cooktop. Please refer to your installation instructions for additional information. https://files.bbystatic.com/1HsCGH3M0oInsp0HFgG3rQ%3D%3D/User%2BManual We hope this helps! Q: QuestionAre replacement filters available?
Asked by Mona.
- A:Answer Hello- Thanks so much for checking with us. The filters are available to order if needed, however you can clean the filters. To remove: Remove filters from the air vent by reaching the filters through the vent openings, pushing down then pulling out. NOTE: The filters are different sizes. Be sure to replace them as removed, wider one on the left To clean: Soak and then agitate in a hot detergent solution. Light brushing may be used to remove embedded soil. Rinse, shake and remove moisture before replacing. If you still need the filters you can order them through GE Parts at 1-877-959-8688. The part number is WB02X38738. We hope this helps!
